All I want for Christmas is a Amazon Kindle

It is considerably more expensive than two front teeth, but a lot less than braces as we are discovering.

The biggest problem with this device is the $400 sticker shock, but if you look a little deeper that is really not a problem at all. See the Kindle comes with internet access. This is huge!

With most devices you get the opportunity to buy it and then on top of that you get the privilege of paying $5 – $60 per month for the internet access. After a few months the Kindle pays for itself.

On top of this, books are sold at a pretty good discount. You can get newspapers and blogs, it has a dictionary built-in and free access to an encyclopedia. You can even use it for taking notes, which means that somebody is going to be using it for blogging soon. :)

One reviewer asked why anyone would want this instead of a full featured tablet. Weight, operating system, paper-like display, cost, free (well… price included) EVDO internet access, content and ease of use are just a few reasons. This thing is a winner all around.

As I was writing this post I was thinking, “Man, I ought be a sales person for Amazon! This thing is great!” Then I remembered the Amazon partner program. I had never taken the time to join before since the few dollars they offer did not seem like they would be worth the trouble, but for something this cool I decided to sign up. A few minutes later… I am now an Amazon sales rep. So now whenever you buy from Amazon, come by here first. :) Click on the picture to get more info on the Kindle and to buy it.

Well Luke if you are still waiting for this Revolutionary Wireless Reading Device then the news is good, Amazon have just dropped the price of their Digital Book Readers. The Kindle 2 is now as low as $299, don’t know about the DX though, thinking of getting me one of those babies.

Still seems a bit expensive for what it can do. Internet access is not HUGE nowadays. Everything it seems has wifi access.
