I have been offline for the last two weeks and had planned to update via twitter on my cell-phone while I was gone, but two things kept that from working as well as I had hoped.

First, I changed my twitter password and forgot to update twitpic so all the pictures I was sending never made it into twitter so that they could then be pulled into my blog. The only update were the occasional text tweet which were somewhat limited by lack of signal in the second half of the trip.

Second, I realized that there really was no way to adequately share with pictures the natural beauty we were enjoying and that taking pictures was taking some of the enjoyment out of the enjoying. We still took a lot of pictures (1685 to be exact) but I stopped trying so hard to share every moment.

So after nearly three years of posting every day I broke the trend. I could go back and post some of the pictures I took on those days, but at this point that seems like it might be more confusing than useful.

Does anyone think I should go back and make up the days I missed?

Let me tell you the artistry we witnessed was beyond comparison and beyond words.
