Never Forget 64

This video only has one section with English sub-titles, but the pictures say a lot.

June 4th, often written as 64 in China, is a very import date in Chinese history. The mothers of those who died that day are asking us to help keep the memory of this day alive. Very few people in China under the age of 40 have ever heard of this nameless event in the obscure city of Beijing.

But, history forgotten is history soon repeated.

    Luke,

A very moving picture – what a disgraceful event it was, too.

  2. Yeah, it is very moving. I haven’t heard of this until now, but then again I live in the US, and not a big history buff.

Well, It’s true that most young people in China don’t know this event, or don’t know it properly, also it’s very dangerous to talk about it…… You would have been caught.
